CHANDRAKALA MEHTA Vs. BYFORD LEASING LIMITED

Decided On May 14, 1999
CHANDRAKALA MEHTA Appellant
V/S
BYFORD LEASING LIMITED Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The contemner is personally present. He has filed his reply and has tendered his unconditional apology and has prayed for condonation of the act of contempt. It appears that the alleged contemner is not familiar with the procedure of the Court and unwittingly he has indulged in the contemptuous act of this Commission. Since he has tendered his unconditional and unqualified apology, we think that we should take a lenient view of the matter and discharge the notice of contempt in this case,

(2.) Before parting with this order, we express a note of appreciation for valuable assistance rendered by learned Advocate Mr. Badrinath Babu appearing as amicus curiae in this case. In the result, the contempt notice is discharged. There shall be no order as to costs on the facts and in the circumstances of the case. Contempt Notice discharged.
