(1.) We have heard the learned Counsel for the appellant at length on the question of admission of the present appeal and have also carefully gone through the documents/material on record. The present appeal, filed by the appellant, under Sec.15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act') is directed against order dated 19.10.2001, passed by District Forum, Nand Nagri, Delhi in Complaint Case No.167/2000-entitled Smt. Santosh Kumari V/s. Delhi Vidyut Board. The learned District Forum vide impugned order has dismissed the complaint, filed by the appellant, under Sec.12 of the Act on the ground that the complaint, filed by the appellant, is barred by limitation. In our opinion, the order, being impugned is a well reasoned order because the cause of action had arisen to the appellant to file the complaint on 2.6.1983 whereas the complaint was filed by the appellant in the year 2000. In the presence of the above facts, no fault can be found with the findings of the learned District Forum. The same suffers from no infirmity so as to call for any interference by this Commission in exercise of its appellate powers. The present appeal, filed by the appellant is, therefore, devoid of substance. The same merits dismissal. Accordingly, the same is dismissed in limine with no order as costs. A copy of this order, as per the statutory requirements, be forwarded to the parties free of charge and also to the concerned District Forum and thereafter the file be consigned to the Record Room.
