BINOD RAVIDAS Vs. STATE OF JHARKHAND

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Both mother and son have been charged under section 304-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code for dowry death of Rekha Devi and under section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code for committing her murder.

(2.) In S.T No. 36 of 2009, the appellants have been convicted under section 304-B of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to R.I for life for the said offence.

(3.) The charge under section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code has failed.
