(1.) THIS writ petition has been preferred for issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction upon the respondents to pay exgratia amount/compensation for the damages sustained in 1984 Sikh Riot following of assassination of Smt. Indira Gandhi(Ex -Prime

SINCE it is now stated by the State Government that already instructions have been given to the Deputy Commissioners of all the concerned districts directing them to make enquiries after taking evidence from the parties and decide about the claims and claimants who are the victims in the 1984 Sikh Riots, all the petitioners can approach the respective Deputy Commissioners and produce the materials to enable the Committee to come to the proper assessment of the damages. This process must be completed within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 
