(1.) The petitioners claim that they purchased a piece of land from Khewat No.4, Khata No.113, Plot No.183 area 3 acres by registered sale deed dated 31.8.1981. The name of the petitioners has also been mutated in the land records by order dated 7.5.1984, passed in mutation Case No.173 R 27/1983-84. Correction slip has also been issued to the petitioners, and yet the respondents are not accepting the rent and issuing rent receipts in favour of the petitioners in respect of the said land.
(2.) Counter affidavit has been filed which does not appear to dispute the sale deed or the mutation. In the circumstances, the respondent No.3 is directed to look into the matter and issue appropriate directions ensuring that rent is accepted, if offered, and proper receipts are issued in favour of the petitioners in respect of the land in question; or if the same is not permissible, the respondent No.3 will pass a reasoned order giving precise details why the rent is not acceptable from the petitioners and/or why rent receipts are not liable to be issued for the same. The decision will be taken by the respondent No.3 within one month of the date on which a certified copy of this order is presented before respondent No.3 by the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of.
