JUDGEMENT

(1.) IN this writ application the petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ of mandamus commanding upon the Respondents to pay the benefits of the Assured Career Progression (ACP) to the petitioner, as per law prescribed for grant of ACP, on his completing of 12 years and 24 years of service.

(2.) THE petitioner was appointed as a direct appointee to the post of Sub -Inspector of Police on 14.10.1985. On completing his police training, he was posted in different districts under the erstwhile state of Bihar in between 1985 to 1996 and he was promoted to the post of Inspector of Police in the year 2006.
