JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard the parties.

(2.) In this writ petition the petitioners have prayed for a direction to the respondents to appoint the petitioners on the post of Sub-Inspector of Police from the date other persons junior to them were given promotion and to pay them consequential monitory benefits thereof.

(3.) Mr. B.P. Pandey, learned Sr. counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioners have already been promoted to the post of Sub Inspector of Police but their only grievance is that they have not been given promotion from the date those persons who are juniors to the petitioner have been promoted.
