JUDGEMENT

(1.) The present writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner for issuance of an appropriate writ/order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly the District Superintendent of Education, Ranchi (Respondent No. 2) to pay the petitioner's salary due for the month of November. 2000 and from Nov. 2001 to till date as the salary of the teachers of the School in question for the period from Nov., 2001 to Sept., 2002 has already been paid through their Bank Accounts except the salary of the petitioner for the said period.

(2.) This writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself with the consent of the parties.

(3.) The case of the petitioner is that an advertisement was made on 5.1.1992 by the School Management inviting applications from graduate candidates for appointment of Science and Arts teachers. In the advertisement specific clause was there permitting even such candidates who were not even trained. The petitioner being eligible applied for it and appeared for the selection process and the respondent after scrutiny considered the case of the petitioner along with others on merit and prepared a panel of 11 candidates for the post of Assistant Teachers and the petitioner was placed at serial No. 1 in the said post.
