JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard the Counsel for the parties.

(2.) This appeal by the appellant-Insurance Company is directed against the judgment and award dated 16th January, 2007 passed by Motor Vehicles Accident Claims Tribunal, Dhanbad in Title Motor Vehicle Suit No. 245/2003 whereby a sum of rupees five lacs was awarded to the respondent-claimants as compensation for the death of the one Sandip Kumar Mandal.

(3.) It appears that Sandip Kumar Mandal was going by a bicycle which was dashed by two-wheeler bearing registration No. JH 10B-7785. The said vehicle was insured with the appellant-Insurance Company.
