JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD the parties.

(2.) THE instant appeal has been preferred by the appellant against the Judgment and Award dated 22.08.2006, passed by Additional Judicial Commissioner, M.A.C.T., Ranchi in connection with Compensation Case No. 53/98 whereby the appellant has been directed to pay a sum of Rs.1,32,549.29 Paise to the respondent no. 1/ Claimant with interest @7% p.a. from 01.08.2006 for causing damage to the Military vehicle.

(3.) IT reveals that on 13.04.1997, Military vehicle no. 85E 7125 AFAT Shaktiman was going in normal speed towards Gaya near village Ukrid, at about 13:45 hrs., Tata 407 bearing registration no. BR 14 G 0779, caused dash to the said military vehicle, as a result vehicle was damaged and one of the occupant O P R M Kannan had sustained injury.
