SUDHIR MAHATO Vs. STATE OF JHARKHAND

JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS public interest litigation was filed initially with respect to National Highway -32. By order dated 3rd December, 2013, looking to the condition of the National Highways in the State of Jharkhand, especially from Jamshedpur to Ranchi, the scope of this Public Interest Litigation was extended to cover the National Highway No. 33 also. As per the supplemently affidavit filed by National Highways authority on 31st January, 2014, the entire stretch of about 160 kilometers i.e. Km 113.700 to Km 277.500 is said to have been completed in a short of about 60 days.

(2.) THE learned counsel appearing for the State seriously disputed that the above said stretch has not been completely repaired and is almost in the same damaged shape, not in a good motorable condition.

(3.) THE matter be listed after four weeks. Issue a copy of this order to the counsel for the parties.
