JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking quashing of order dated 26.03.2013 and a consequent direction for promotion on the post on of Circle Inspector-cum-Kanoongo.

(2.) The brief facts of the case are that, the petitioner no.1 joined the service on 28.11.1976 and the petitioner no. 2 joined the service on 29.11.1976. A seniority list was published in the year, 2012 in which the name of the petitioner no. 1 appeared at Sl. No.159 and the petitioner no.2 at Sl. No. 160. The name of the respondent nos. 8-21 appeared below the name of the petitioners in the said seniority list issued in the year, 2012. Nonetheless, the claim of the petitioners on the post of Circle Inspector-cum-Kanoongo was denied by letter dated 26.03.2013.
