JUDGEMENT

(1.) IN this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for direction on the Deputy Commissioner, Khunti to consider his prayer for transfer to the District of Ranchi. Learned J.C. to G.P.V. appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the Deputy Commissioner of one district has no jurisdiction to consider any prayer for transfer in another district and, as such, the prayer made by the petitioner can not be entertained.

(2.) I find substance in the submission made by learned counsel for the respondents. The petitioner has made a prayer before the Deputy Commissioner, Khunti for his transfer in Ranchi District. The said prayer is prima facie not entertainable. This writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
