JUDGEMENT

(1.) 10/ 15.5.2012 Learned counsel for the State accepts notice on behalf of the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 as well.

(2.) THE petitioners, who have attained the age of majority, have married with each other, out of their free will and without the consent of their respective parents. As they belong to different religions, they apprehend threat at the hands of their castemen including their parents and accordingly, the present application has been filed, praying for providing adequate protection to them.

(3.) ACCORDINGLY, respondent No.2, the Superintendent of Police, Dhanbad, is directed to give adequate protection to the petitioners, in the light of the general direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Lata Singh's case (Supra).
