(1.) The present writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner for getting appointment on compassionate ground, because of the death of his father, who was in the services of the respondent authorities and expired on 14th September, 1998.
(2.) Having heard learned counsel for both the sides and looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, I see no reason to entertain this writ petition mainly for the following facts and reasons:

Be that as it may, the fact remains that much time i.e. a period of more than twelve years has elapsed and, thus, the very purpose of compassionate appointment has been frustrated and, thus, in view of the aforesaid facts, reasons and judicial pronouncements, I see no reason to entertain this writ petition and hence, the same is hereby dismissed.
