JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioner is an accused in the case registered under Sections 498A, 406 and 494 of the Indian Penal Code.

(2.) LEARNED counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case; the entire allegation against him is wholly false and baseless; both the parties came forward to settle their differences; the dispute was referred to the court below for conciliation and the complainant was ready to settle the dispute in the instant case on the condition of payment of Rs. Seventy thousand; petitioner was ready to pay the said amount but the complainant did not appear to take the amount; the petitioner has handed over a bank draft of Rs. Seventy thousand to Mr. Shailesh, learned counsel for the complainant; the petitioner is a local permanent resident; there is no chance of his absconding; he is in custody since July, 2010.
