JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

(2.) Petitioner is accused in a case registered under Section 304-B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act in connection with Sadar P.S. Case No.212 of 2011, corresponding to G.R. Case No.929 of 2011 which is pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hazaribagh.

(3.) It is disclosed in the fardbeyan that Rimi Gupta was married with accused Amar Ranjan on 6 th June, 2010. After the marriage a demand of Rs.4 lakhs was put forth for which Rimi was subjected to torture and treated with cruelty by her husband and inlaws. On 13.04.2011 the informant received message that his daughter died and thus he rushed to the matrimonial home of Rimi Gupta and found her dead. It is alleged that Rimi was killed by her husband and in-laws for want of more dowry.
