JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD the parties.

(2.) IN this writ application the petitioner has prayed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the petitioner, the minimum of pay scale prescribed for regularly appointed lecturer as the petitioner has been doing same work as compared to regularly appointed lecturers.

(3.) MR . N.N. Tiwari. learned counsel for the petitioner mainly put heavy reliance on the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of "Vijay Kumar vs. State of Punjab" [AIR 1994 SC 265] and submitted that part time lecturers who are (sic -not?) gainfully employed elsewhere are entitled to get at least minimum pay scale prescribed for regular appointed lecturers.
