JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard. This writ petition has been filed for quashing Memo No. 1465 dated 6.5.2006, issued by the Assistant Mining Officer, East Singhbhum directing the petitioner to deposit an amount of Rs.59, 559/-.

(2.) It appears that against the said demand, petitioner moved this Court by filing writ petition being CWJC No. 4440 of 2000 alleging inter alia that as the lease did not subsist, no demand could be made and if illegal mining is being done, the respondents should prosecute the illegal miners.

(3.) The said writ petition was disposed of on 13.1.2003 remitting the matter back to the Deputy Commissioner to dispose of the following points:-
