JUDGEMENT

(1.) This Criminal Petition under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner, who is Accused, seeking anticipatory bail in Crime No.258 of 2019 of SHO, KPHB Colony Police Station, Cyberabad, Ranga Reddy District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC.

(2.) The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has cheated the complainant, who is constructing a new house, by introducing himself that he is a Electrical contractor and promised the complainant that he will arrange for sanction of Electrical transformer and asked the complainant to obtain Demand Draft for Rs.1,31,257/- in the name of TSSPDCL and thereafter dodged the matter on one pretext or other and on enquiry the complainant came to know that the accused cheated him with false promise.

(3.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/Accused and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent State. Perused the material on record.
