(1.) Heard. Smt. Rajkumari was married with the applicant Prakash. She died on 9.11.98 in the circumstances other than normal. It is alleged that she was being harassed and treated with cruelty since after her marriage, by the husband applicant and his relatives on account of demand for dowry.

It was pointed out by the learned counsel for the applicant that at the time of preparation of the Panchayatnama of the dead body of the deceased, close relations namely Rameshwar, Shanwar Lal, father and grand father of the deceased respectively were present and at that time, all the Panchas had unanimously stated that the deceased had died of her illness. It was submitted that the deceased was a patient of Asthma, it was further submitted that the co-accused in the case have already been admitted to bail. It was further submitted that the applicant was beneficially employed in the Hindustan Foils Limited and therefore, there stood no need of dowry.
(3.) Learned Public Prosecutor submitted that during the investigation the case put forth by the applicant was that the deceased had died in the course of delivery of a child, which version was found false.
