(1.) Mr. R.P. Singh, learned Additional Advocate General submitted that the Task Force headed by the Additional Chief Secretary has deliberated upon three issues identified by this Court in its earlier order dtd. 27/3/2019 and the respondents need some more time to formulate a concrete policy and present a road map, especially, with regard to plantation of 100 trees in each of the five villages of all 9000 gram panchayats of the State, to which the State has in principle no objection. The only issue, with regard to which the State has yet to take a decision, is about involving volunteers ('Vriksha Mitra') under the supervision of Gram Sevaks and Patwaris of the area in question for entrusting them the responsibility of watering and protection of the trees for first few years. Reasonable time be granted to file an affidavit in this behalf.
(2.) Ms. Sheetal Mirdha, learned Additional Advocate General submitted that trace map and revenue map have already been prepared and some other records have also been collected. However, owing to the fact that the officers are presently engaged in election duties, she could not file the compliance report in terms of order dtd. 27/3/2019 passed by this Court. She prays for two weeks time to do so.
(3.) Both the learned Additional Advocate Generals may file required affidavit/compliance report in terms of order of this Court dtd. 27/3/2019.
