JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD learned Public Prosecutor for the State. The convict petitioner has preferred this letter petition for his transfer from Central Jail, kota to District Jail, Jhalawar. The learned Public Prosecutor for the State has raised an objection that in view of sentence of imprisonment of life awarded against the petitioner, it is not possible to transfer him to district Jail, Jhalawar which is not a Central Jail in view of specific bar contained in Part VII of section 1 (b) of the Rajasthan Prisons Rules, 1951. We have considered the contents of the letter petition, reply thereto and the submissions of learned Public Prosecutor for the State and after considering the same, we do not find any merit in this letter petition and the same is accordingly dismissed. considering the same, we do not find any merit in this letter petition and the same is accordingly dismissed.
