JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution.

(2.) THE petitioner was a Head Constable. It is alleged that certain complaints having been received against him, the Deputy Superintendent of Police framed charges and made enquiry and recommended that the petitioner should be dismissed. THE Deputy Inspector General of Police concerned accepted the finding and served a show cause notice under Article 311 (2) and finally dismissed the petitioner by order of 20th December, 1955. THE petitioner filed an appeal which was dismissed by the Inspector General of Police on 11th May, 1956. A further appeal to the Government was dismissed on 18th December, 1956.
