JUDGEMENT

(1.) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the respondents to re-schedule and re-conduct the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of the petitioner for the post of Constable (Band) in First Battalion RAC, Jodhpur and he may be appointed on the said post.

(2.) It is inter alia indicated in the writ petition that an advertisement for the post of Constable (Band) along with other positions of Constable was issued on 25/5/2018, wherein, 06 posts of Constable (Band) in the First Battalion, RAC, Jodhpur were advertised, out of which two posts were reserved for the candidates belonging to OBC, the category to which the petitioner belongs.

It is submitted that for the post of Constable (Band) no written examination is held and the candidates are required to undergo Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and those clearing the same are required to appear in the efficiency test. It is submitted that the PST/PET for the petitioner was scheduled on 2/9/2018 at 6:00 am at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium, Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, however, the petitioner could not know about holding of the said PST/PET and came to know only on 6/9/2018.
