JUDGEMENT

(1.) By this petition the petitioner seeks quashing of the order dated 20th Aug. 1993. The writ petition is filed after 17 years of the order. The petition seeks to explain the delay on the ground that on 25-8-73 he made an appeal against this order, that has not been decided so far and he has, therefore, chosen to approach this Court after waiting patiently for 17 years for the appellate authority to decide the appeal. It is a fit case where the maxim 'law helps the deligent and not the indolent', aptly applies. On the ground of delay, therefore, the petition is liable to be dismissed. It is accordingly dismissed. Petition dismissed.
