JUDGEMENT

(1.) NONE appeared on behalf of the petitioner on 22nd January, 2005. However, the matter was deferred for three weeks. Today, neither the petitioner nor the counsel for the petitioner is present to prosecute the writ proceedings.

(2.) I have considered the pleadings of the writ application and the materials available on record.

(3.) THE petitioner has not been accorded the selection scales on completion of 9, 18 and 27 years of service, and therefore, has approached this Court praying for a direction to the respondents to allow the benefit of selection scales on completion of 9, 18 and 27 years of service, reckoning the date of his initial appointment i.e. 2nd July, 1988. It is not in dispute that the petitioner was regularized on 7th January, 1992, and the same date has been reckoned for the purpose of grant of selection scales on completion of 9, 18 and 27 years of service.
