JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD . This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner -Smt. Ananta Choudhary @ Ananta Parihar, seeking direction to the police authorities to provide protection to her and her husband Manish Choudhary and not to interfere with their peaceful married life.

(2.) THE petitioner being major alleged to have entered into marriage on 07.01.2015 with Manish Choudhary at Arya Samaj, Jodhpur. In this regard, a copy of the marriage certificate dated 07.01.2015 has been placed on record as Annexure -2. It is submitted that having come to know about the petitioner's marriage with Manish Choudhary, the private respondent and her relatives are bent upon to harm and harass the petitioner and her husband and are threatening of dire consequences.

(3.) IT is to be noticed that the petitioner has already made a representation (Annexure -3) to the Commissioner of Police, Jodhpur, copy thereof was also sent to the SHO, P.S. Sardarpura, Jodhpur, for redressal of her grievance and necessary protection to her and her husband against the alleged threatening and harassment. The police authorities are under an obligation to take the appropriate action against the persons who threat or harass or commit act of violence. There is no reason to believe that the grievances of the petitioner shall not be looked into by the authorities concerned appropriately.
