RAM RAKH VYAS Vs. STATE OF RAJASTHAN

JUDGEMENT

(1.) PURSUANT to and in continuity of the orders passed in this matter on 6th and 7th inst., the Commissioners, Mr. J.L. Purohit, Senior Advocate, Mr. Tan Singh Charan, Full-Time Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Jodhpur Metro and Ms. Garima Chouhan, Advocate have filed a joint report with photographs after inspecting the premises of Mathura Das Mathur Hospital, Jodhpur yesterday, i.e., on 09.05.2013 at 5:00 p.m. From the report as filed and the photographs annexed thereto and from the submissions made before us, what turns out is that some efforts and attempts have, of course, been made to take the corrective measures so as to deal with several aspects of faults and short-comings in maintenance of the premises of the Hospital but much more of concrete and concentrated efforts are requisite.

(2.) THE learned Additional Advocate General Mr. R.L. Jangid also frankly admits that several aspects are yet to be dealt with but submits on instructions that all the requirements are being attended at with regular monitoring and supervision by the Divisional Commissioner of Jodhpur Division. Mr. Jangid assures that within a week or so, the authorities would be in a position to facelift the premises and restore the hospital to its befitting status. Mr.Jangid further submits that other requirements including those of security measures; providing necessary staff and manpower; and supply of essentials including water are also being attended at. Mr. Jangid prays for some more time for the needful. The learned Members of the Commission also submit that some efforts have, of course, been made but in the ultimate analysis, efforts hitherto taken cannot be said to be wholly satisfactory.

(3.) AS at present, when it has been given out that the authorities concerned are indeed attending at the requirements on their part, while shunning off the laxity that has hitherto resulted into the chaotic state of affairs in the Hospital premises, we consider it appropriate to give some more time to the authorities concerned to attend on all their duties and requirements.
