Decided On February 13, 2013
KIRTA RAM Appellant
V/S
STATE OF RAJASTHAN Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) IT has been pointed out by the Court Staff that there had been an error in the order passed yesterday i.e., 12.02.2013 as regards the particulars of the case. The necessary correction has been carried out in red ink today in the Court.

(2.) PURSUANT to the order passed in this matter yesterday, expecting from the Superintendent of Police, Bikaner to inquire about the two contradictory reports received from two different police stations, today, the learned Public Prosecutor Mr. B.K. Mehar submits on instructions that the Superintendent of Police, Bikaner immediately directed the Additional Superintendent of Police, Bikaner to conduct necessary inquiry in the matter; and now, proceedings under Rule 17 of CCA Rules have been adopted against the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Police Station Napasar whose report had not been the correct one and who wrongly certified about fixing of the marriage of the daughter of the sister of the applicant which was, in fact, not so fixed. The certification was allegedly made with reference to some suggestions before him by some of the family members of the applicant.

(3.) WE would refrain from making any other comment in the matter at present but, it is expected of the authorities concerned to take proper action with utmost expedition. We grant three week's time to the Superintendent of Police, Bikaner to do the needful.
