Farooq Khan Appellant
V/S
State Of Rajasthan And Ors Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) A convicted prisoner, Farooq Khan, incarcerated in Central Jail Ajmer has sent a letter to this court. The said letter has been treated as a letter petition by this court.

(2.) The petitioner has claimed that by judgment dated 20.06.2009 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track) No.1 Bhilwara, he was convicted for offences under Sections 302/149, 324/149, 323/149, 148 IPC and was sentenced to life imprisonment. Although he is eligible for first parole of twenty days, although he had applied for the same, his request for parole has been rejected ostensibly on the ground that the reports of Superintendent of Police, Bhilwara and Social Welfare Officer are against him. Therefore, he prays for grant of first parole of twenty days. FloatingFrame FloatingFrame Mr. K.R. Bishnoi, learned Addl. Govt. Advocate, has pleaded that the petitioner has completed five years, ten months, thirteen days of incarceration as of 06.07.2012.

(3.) However, since the reports of Superintendent of Police, Bhilwara and Social Welfare Officer Bhilwara are against him, he has been denied the first parole.
