JUDGEMENT

(1.) BY way of this letter petition, the petitioner has stated the grievance about non-consideration of the case of her husband Avtar Singh S/o Jagtar Singh for being released on permanent parole on the ground of non-expiry of the period of eleven months since after availing of the last parole by him.

(2.) FROM the reply submissions and the documents placed on record by the respondent, it appears that the case of the husband of the petitioner was indeed considered by the State Parole Committee in its meeting dated 20.03.2012 but his prayer at the given stage was declined for the reason that he had returned to the jail after availing the last parole only on 31.08.2011; and a period of eleven months had not elapsed since then.
