JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is a landlord's revision application against an appellate order of the Senior Sub Judge First Class Ajmer in a case for fixation of standard rent under sec. 8 of the Delhi and Ajmer Rent Control Act 1952 (hereinafter referred to as the Act ).

(2.) THE case of the tenant was that he took the premises in suit on rent from the landlord on 5. 1. 48 at Rs. 40/- per month and that with effect from 1. 1. 49 he agreed to pay rent at Rs. 60/- per month after some improvements, additions and alterations had been made. THE present suit was instituted on 5-12-52 for the fixation of standard rent on the ground that the premises were sub-let to one Surajmal at Rs. 18/- per month and that the rent was excessive compared to the prevailing rent of similar premises situated in the locality.
