JUDGEMENT

(1.) Petitioner had applied for the post of Patwari pursuant to the advertisement issued for Patwar Direct Recruitment Examination 2015 as an ex-serviceman.

(2.) Learned counsel points out that erroneously while filling up the form online, it was mentioned that the petitioner is OBC although he is from General Category. As per his merit, he falls within the merit of Ex-Serviceman (General Category). However, only on account that the petitioner had by mistake mentioned in his form as OBC, he has been denied appointment oh the post of Patwari, resulting in the petitioner filing the present petition with prayer that he should be considered for appointment under Ex-Servicemen quota for the General Category as per his merit.

(3.) Learned counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner has not been able to show that the mistake committed in filling the form was that of E-Mitra kiosk.
