JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned counsel for the appellant. None appeared for the State despite service.

(2.) Learned counsel for the appellant submits that identical appeals have already been decided by this Court and he has cited two such orders passed by this Court in the following cases:

Having perused the impugned order passed by learned ADJ No.1, Sriganganagar on 6/1/1996 rejecting the reference application under Sec. 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, this Court is satisfied that the present appeal is squarely covered by the aforesaid decisions and accordingly, the present appeal is allowed in the same terms. The impugned order dated 6/1/1996 is set aside and it is held that the compensation payable to the present appellant for his land acquired under Award dated 06.06.1988 at the rate of Rs. 15,000.00 per bigha shall stand enhanced to Rs. 19,000.00 per bigha. The award shall stand modified to this extent.
