JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned counsel for the appellant.

(2.) In this appeal, injured appellant has prayed for enhancement of the compensation awarded to him by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Banswara in the sum of Rs.2,78,000/- along with interest at the rate of 9 percent.

(3.) As per evidence on record, for the injuries sustained by the appellant in the accident which occurred on 26.03.2009 at about 07.15 P.M. in the evening when he was travelling upon his motor-cycle. In that accident, the appellant received fracture of leg bones and rod was inserted in the operation of his leg. Besides the appellant suffered disfiguration of his face. Due to those injuries, the appellant suffered 50% permanent disability and the Tribunal, after taking into consideration entire facts and expenses incurred by the appellant in the treatment, allowed claim of Rs.2,78,000/- to the appellant along with 9% interest with effect from 20.11.2009.
