(1.) The accused absconded during the trial before the Munsif & Judicial Magistrate, Degana, for the offence under Sections 379 and 447 IPC. The accused was being tried for the theft of 'Khejri' tree. He has surrendered himself on Jan., 6, 1990. His bail application was rejected by the Sessions Judge as he was a absconder. I asked the Public Prosecutor to indicate as how much time the trial of the accused is likely to take. She is unable to throw any light on this question. The accused having absconded, deserves to be put on severe conditions to secure his attendance at the trial. Accordingly, it is directed that the accused shall be released on bail provided he furnishes a bail bond in the sum of Rs. 10.000.00 (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties of Rs. 5000.00 (Rupees five thousand only) each to the satisfaction of the Munsif & Judicial Magistrate, Degana, and to abide by the following conditions:-
