JUDGEMENT

(1.) Appellant has filed this application for suspension of Sentence under Section 389 Cr.P.C.

(2.) Heard learned counsel for the applicant through 'Jitsi Meet'.

(3.) It is contended by learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant was convicted by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Khetri, District Jhunjhunu vide its order dated 16.03.2017 under Sections 498-A & 304-B of IPC and sentenced to one year simple imprisonment and seven years simple imprisonment respectively. He submits that the appellant has served more than half of the sentence awarded to him and there is no likelihood of his appeal being heard in the near future in the wake of Covid-19 and even otherwise also.
