JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner through video conferencing. Learned Public Prosecutor is present in Court.

(2.) Petitioner has preferred this Criminal Writ Petition seeking permanent parole.

(3.) It is contended by counsel for the petitioner that out of total sentence of 10 years, petitioner has remained in custody for a period of 7 years & 6 months and was entitled to permanent parole. His application for permanent parole was rejected by the respondents on the ground that petitioner has not availed three regular paroles.
