JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned Public Prosecutor.

(2.) This bail application has been filed under Section 439, Cr. P. C. Mr. Sanjay Mehrishi, learned Counsel for the petitioners contended that the accused petitioners were arrested on 29-12-2009 and trial of the case will take time. The Public Prosecutor opposed the bail application. The Public Prosecutor contended that the allegations against the petitioners are that they gave beating to cow on account of which cow found dead, which is an offence punishable under the Bovine Animal (Prohibition of Slaughter and Regulation of Temporary Migration of Export) Act, 1995.

(3.) Before proceeding in the matter it would be necessary to have a look about the importance of cows in Srimad Bhagavad Gita by Lord Krishna.
