JUDGEMENT

(1.) BY this petition the detention of one Zahid Ahmed Sheikh S/O Abdul Rashid Sheikh R/O Lal Chowk, Srinagar is being challenged by his father Abdul Rashid Sheikh.

(2.) THE petition has been admitted to hearing on 2.7.1992. Notices were issued to the respondent/state. Despite the fact, respondent/state was served they have not caused their appearance in response to the notice which has led this court to initiate exparte proceedings against them on 12.5.1993. However, at the time of hearing Mr. R. Pant appeared.

(3.) HEARD learned counsel for the parties.
