(1.) Petitioner claims to be working as Sweeper in the respondent-Department. Her only grievance is that though she has been working as such since 1990, her case for regularisation is not being considered. Though Ms. Wattali Dy. AG appearing vice Ms. Neeru Goswami, Dy. AG, insists that the matter be kept pending, I do not feel persuaded to drag the petitioner to a long drawn litigation. Needless to say the petitioner belongs to a marginalized, downtrodden and unattended class of the society - widow having three children and cannot prosecute her writ petition for long. Otherwise also there is no reason to delay the matter. The petition can be very well disposed of at this threshold with the direction to the respondents to accord consideration to her case for regularisation and also to release legitimately earned wages to the petitioner.
(2.) Viewed thus, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to accord consideration to the petitioner's case for her regularization, of course in accordance with the rules governing the matter. The respondents shall do well to take a decision in the matter within eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Petitioner on her part, shall handover copy of the petition, copies of its annexures to the respondents so as to facilitate early decision in the matter.
(3.) Disposed of.
