JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD learned counsel for the petitioner and the State

(2.) THE relief prayed for in this application is for grant of the benefit of assured career progression scherrve with effect from 2.6.2002 on completion of 12 years of service. The petitioner was appointed as Deputy Collector on 2.6.1990 and has been confirmed as such on 30.7.1995, based on which the claim arises.

(3.) THE counter affidavit urged pendency of the departmental proceeding and a criminal proceeding for denial of the same.
