JUDGEMENT

(1.) Notice. Mr. Divakar Dev Sharma, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

(2.) Status report has been filed, wherein it has been submitted that the engagement ceremony of the petitioner's sister namely Mandeep Kaur is scheduled on 24/1/2026 and he is the only brother. Since the petitioner is the only brother, therefore, his presence would be necessary during the ceremony.

(3.) Hence, it is ordered that the petitioner would be taken in custody to village Paini, Post Office Mukari Kala, Tehsil Anandpur Sahib, District Ropar, Punjab under proper custody on 22/1/2026 and would be taken back to M.C. Jail, Kanda on 27/1/2026.
