JUDGEMENT

(1.) Mr. Naresh Kumar Tomar, learned Counsel for the petitioner, submits that at this stage without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner would be satisfied in case the Assistant Collector (Settlement) Kasauli, is directed to dispose of his application dated 29.11.2009, Annexure P2. The application was filed more than three years back and some action should have been taken on the same by now. Other than a forwarding letter dated 15th December, 2009, no response has been given to the petitioner.

(2.) Therefore, without going into the merits of the case or expressing any opinion on the rights of the parties, we dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the Assistant Collector (Settlement) Kasauli to dispose of the application filed by the petitioner within six weeks of the production of the copy of this order before him.
