JUDGEMENT

(1.) PETITIONERS seek admission to the B.Sc. 1st year./B. Com 3rd year/ B.Sc. 2nd year/ B. Com 1st year/ B.A. 1st Year and B.Sc. 2nd year, respectively. As pointed out by Mr. B.C. Negi, learned Standing counsel for the University that admission could not be granted, since the applications came after the cut -off date. But, we find that the Vice -Chancellor is bestowed with the powers to look into such a situation warranting intervention, in terms of equity and justice. Therefore, the petitioners may make representation(s) before the Vice -Chancellor within a week from today and thereafter the Vice -Chancellor shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law, equity and justice within another one week. With these observations, the writ petitions stand disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
