JUDGEMENT

(1.) Under consideration is an Application which has been filed by Petitioner before the Registrar of Companies, Tamil Nadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chennai, for compounding of the offences committed under Section 96 read with Section 129 of the Companies Act, 2013. These provisions were brought into force on 1st of April 2014. The Deputy Registrar of Companies, along with his Report dated 08.08.2017, has forwarded the Application to the Registry of this Bench, which has been numbered as CA/13/(441)/CB/2018.

(2.) Brief averments of the application are that the Company is Private Limited Company, it was incorporated on 20.12.2006 under the companies Act, 1956, having its registered office at 2nd Floor, Meridian House, 121/3, TTK Road, Manickam Avenue, Alwarpet, Chennai-600018. The Authorised share capital of the Company is Rs.67,00,00,000/- divided into 6,70,00,000 equity shares of Rs.10/-each and issued and Paid-up capital of the Company is Rs.65,96,11,660/- divided into 6,59,61,166 equity shares of Rs.10/-each. The Company is engaged in the business of production, generation, wheeling, distribution, marketing, sale and supply of electricity through the production, development etc.
