JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS petition is directed against the order of the Rent Controller dated 1.6.1988 whereby the landlord's evidence was closed by Court's orders.

(2.) ON 1.6.1988 when the impugned order was passed one witness namely Hardev Singh, Clerk, Punjab State Electricity Board, was produced by the petitioner but he had not brought the record and accordingly his statement could not be recorded. On that account the landlord sought adjournment but the learned Rent Controller did not find any justification for granting further adjournment because the petitioner has been granted ample time and opportunities earlier.
