JUDGEMENT

(1.) This judgment will dispose of afore-mentioned four Criminal Appeals as they arise out of the same First Information Report and are directed against the common judgment of conviction and sentence order dated August 26, 2006, passed by the learned Special Judge, Fatehgarh Sahib.

(2.) Appellants Nazar Singh, Gurdial Singh, Jarnail Singh and Kuldeep Sharma have filed these appeals against the aforesaid judgment of conviction and sentence order passed by the learned Special Judge, Fatehgarh Sahib, in case First Information Report No.96 dated December 14, 1999, under Section 15 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act') and Sections 465, 467 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (hereinafter referred to as 'the Code') registered at Police Station Khamanon.

(3.) The appellants were convicted under Section 15 of the Act and each of them was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of twelve years and to pay rupees one lac as fine and in default of payment of fine to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year.
