(1.) This petition seeks quashing of award dated 24.5.2006, Annexure P.5.
(2.) Case of the petitioner is that he was appointed on ad hoc basis on 4.4.1997. His services were terminated on 19.6.1999 in violation of provisions of Section 25-F of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (for short, 'the Act'). He raised an industrial dispute which was referred for adjudication.
(3.) The management contested the claim and stated that the petitioner having been appointed on daily wages, termination of his services was not illegal.
